Provides a free, confidential, 24-Hour Distress Line  
~ uses trained volunteers ~ assist callers to solve their own problems ~ information and referrals ~ intervene in life-threatening situations ~ extensive pre-service training programs for distress line ~ suicide prevention and intervention workshops ~ communication skills training

Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line - 1-800-268-9688
Peer support line for LGBTQ youth. Offers anonymous and confidential telephone listening and referrals to callers.

Gillian's Place - 905-684-8331
A charitable organization that assists abused women and their children. Qualified and experienced staff provide telephone counselling 24-hours a day; one-to-one and group counselling; safe, temporary shelter in a 34-bed home; meals and emergency clothing; children's counselling and recreation programs; support programs for women in the community who are fleeing from violence; Family law advice and information, and advocacy in the criminal justice system; public education; and referrals to other community services. Services are available to both residents and non residents. All of our services are free and confidential. Also offer speakers on women abuse and related topics and undertake community fundraising.

Women's Place of South Niagara Inc./Nova House/NF - Call Collect 905-356-5800
Provides shelter for women and children experiencing abuse. Services include: 24 crisis lines, counselling for women and children who are or have been abused, emotional support, empowerment programs, development of safety plans, support groups, child and youth programs, transitional and housing support programs, legal support and advocacy program, public education programs, outreach counselling and education, accompaniment to court and various legal appointments, assistance with financial concerns and referrals. Program and service delivery is available on an in-shelter or outreach basis.

Women's Place of South Niagara Inc./Welland and area - Call Collect 905-788-0113

Niagara Pride Support Services - 905-380-4576
An organization providing information on services and supports for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans identified and questioning youth of the Niagara Region. Concentrates on services for clients 14-24 yrs but will provide information to all.  
Sponsors Rainbow Youth Niagara which provides direct outreach services to youth as well as resource information and educational material to the Niagara community at large.

Uniting the Niagara Sexual-and Gender-Diverse Community. 
OUTNiagara is Niagara's premier organization serving the sexual- and gender-diverse community. OUTniagara provides leadership of Niagara's Annual Pride Festival, information and referral services, and coordinates and resources Niagara's gay and lesbian service groups; including: Niagara Pride Support Services, Brock Pride, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, AIDS Niagara, Transgendered Niagara, the Imperial Soveriegn Court of St Catharines and many other groups and individuals serving this diverse community.

A sharing and supportive group for parents, family members, and friends of lesbian, gay and bisexual, trans-gendered individuals, as well as these individuals themselves. PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity to create a society that is respectful of all.

Rainbow Youth Niagara - 905-380-4576
The project exists to increase awareness of the issues of vulnerability and the risks faced by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth in the community. Provides confidential, two-way links between youth and youth-serving agencies; acts as a regional information and referral service; offers community/workplace awareness-raising opportunities; maintains an open-access resource centre and disseminates educational materials.
